27 etched panels make up an 85 foot long curved wall in the reception area.The elements of the room, which include the sculptured ceiling, the floor marquetry, and the curve of the window wall, designed by Don Killaby with former Director David Pankow, are based in the Golden Ratio of the Fibonacci Number.
The typefaces were designed by Hermann and Gudrun Zapf and Julian Waters. Valerie also created the 2’ x 4’ stained glass panel installed in the Cary Graphic Arts Collection of the Wallace Center.
